New Zealand continued....

We arrived in Auckland after an hour flight to find it was much warmer here compared to Wellington, wahooo!! ....but still cold dont get me wrong, just more like home now, so we can cope with that!!
We have been staying with Amys cousin Damien and his partner Jenny who have been lovely! and I have my own bedroom :) seriously it is pure luxury not having to share with loads of strangers, is lovely not having to eat blooming noodles everyday for lunch and dinner and the luxury of having a TV!!Wow we have been happy just staying in a chilling everyday :)

We went away with Amys Aunt and Uncle for 4 days to the country south of Auckland to their beach house and it was amazing! The views along the way were unreal, the greenery everywhere, the sea, everything I cant explain but was literally breathtaking! (God I sound like an oldie dont I! hee hee) so we stayed in their place and got fed like royalty, chicken, duck, bolognase, potatoes, chocolate cake (all things we cant afford!!) and pretty much relaxed and took in the scenery. Ooooh and we got to have a ride on Rons (Amys uncle) tractor!! we went down to the beach on it and all had a drive, was fun! We're such big kids!!

Apart from that we have been to Auckland City (which is 10 mins bus ride from us) god knows how many times walking up and down looking for work but realise this may be quite hard as we dont have working visas! and didnt realise how strict they would be!!

We're planning to explore a bit in the next few days, so gonna rent a car and visit places where Lord of the Rings was filmed, see lakes, hot springs and apparently dolphins :) Will update again soon. Oooh and Im blonde again thanks to Nic :) xxx

Goodbye Australia, Welcome to New Zealand, brrrr!!!

Well as u can probably see by the first picture things have been a bit mental!! After my birthday I carried on the celebrations. Firstly me Nic and Aim went to the Great Barrier Reef to go Scuba Diving. We got there and snorkelled first and it was absolutely AMAZING!! we see Nemos, sharks, big fish, small fish, all sorts and it was crystal clear. I was gobsmacked and couldnt wait to get down and do my dive....until we got under the water and I started to panic and couldnt breathe!! I tried 3 times and jst couldn't do it which really annoyed myself :(

But the experience was brilliant!!!

A few days later me and Amy did a skydive, ahhhh!! it was unreal. I was crapping myself big time, especially getting in the little tin plane, it made my stomach turn over which I cant stand!! and I was first to jump out at 14,000 feet!!! The feeling was amazing though, like I was floating, but then half way down the 60 second free fall I couldnt breathe (again) but luckily the parachute went up and I was saved. We done the dive over the barrier reef so it was awesome seeing it from that height. Wicked adrenaline rush!!! Madness!!

Since then we stayed in sunny Cairns for about 2 weeks and had the best time, sunbathing partying and meeting loads of really cool people!!

Me and Nics flight back to Sydney was cancelled so unfortunately we had to stay in a 4star hotel for the night :) which was absolute luxury for us after being in hostels. We actually got a blanket, and TV...and clean towels, heaven!!

I visited my work mates for a night out bk in Sydney to say a final goodbye and we landed in Wellington yesterday. It is bloody freeeezing!! We are off to Auckland tomorrow to stay with amys family and look for work, wahoo!!!xxx

Happy Birthday to meeee - MY 21st!!!

Had a wicked wicked bday yesterday!! couldnt have wished for more!! I woke up to find Nic andamy had a massage booked for me that morning which was lurrrvly!! then when i returned everyone threw me a party with balloons, presents, cards, music and cake :) then I went to get a tattoo done on my wrist. This will remind me of my travels always and celebrate being 21!!! it bloody hurt but is a cute little pink bow with black polka dots, am well chuffed with it.

After the tattoo we had to pretty much get ready for the night. We went on a bar crawl on a party bus in Cairns and weirdly it was a Christmas themed night, something they do for us English coz its "cold" here now apparently (its bloody hot!!) So anyway us girls attempted dressing up as Christmas presents, but I dressed up as a bday present for those few people whose bdays fall on xmas day :) It was a quality night, us 5 gals went out and partied!!! Ive hardly had any sleep yet and its the next day at noon wahoooo!!! The partying continues.......xxx
