Koh Lanta

Am in Koh Lanta at the mo and it is the nuts. Left Samui which was sad but this island is unreal. It is sooo quiet, hardly anyone here at all and we have been stayin in a nice place with a beautiful swimming pool with James and Tay.

All having a giggle, chillin in the day (the best weather i've experienced yet!!!) playing pool games and stuff and we found ourself a local bar at night which is really cool!!

Everywhere literally closes at 10pm its madness so is difficult getting taxi's and stuff!!but we are coping. Was only meant to be here 2 days or 3 but we love it here and having such a good time so might back date our flights to oz a few days!

Making our way to Malaysia after this though to look after the Orangutans which im really looking forward to.

FULL MOON PARRRTAY!!!

What a f*ckin wicked wicked 2 weeks I've had, the craziest xmas and new year ever!! sorry its took soooo long for an update, been mega busy!
Nic and Laws arrived 10 days ago but unfortunately their flight was delayed so they missed the first full moon party but me and Amy went on xmas eve with our mates Ross, Nathan, Danny and their parents! We got their not knowing what to expect, walked down the road onto the beach to find about 30,000 people going SICK to the music!!! music pumping, battered people everywhere, dancing, fireworks, and looooads of UV paint. We covered ourselves in it literally from head to toe, and I have never laughed so much in all my life, crazy crazy night and the best part was making it through to 9 the next morning (Christmas day) and watching everyone still raving on the beach and seein battered people lying everywhere. Since then the girls arrived, I had 2 hours sleep in 3 days and just went mad partying!!the red bull is seriously strong here and sooo much is going on you don't wanna go to bed and miss out.
Us gals dressed up in our xmas outfits christmas day and got battered ending the night on the beach with our mates and our mate Mark playing guitar and singing (he is the bollox!!)
We went elephant trekking, went to some marine and tiger zoo, tried going to a waterfall but breaking down on a bloody mountain, went to Koh Tao for the day, chilled on the beach, partied like mad, got beaten up by Thai girls :(, got eye infection, went on scarrrry boats where they nearly tipped over, 2 of our guy mates move in with us (our lodge is the bollox, absolutely HUGE, the biggest gaf in the area!), and then experienced another FULL MOON PARTY!!!
This one was even busier and madder than the first one, us girls dressed up as angels and the lads as devils but by the end of the night we were smothered in paint big time, Laura was going mad with it chucking it everywhere. There was a power cut at 6 in the morning which was funny but the party carried on and by 8 in the morning we were still having it large!! never smiled soooo much in my life, the best new years eve ever!! fireworks were amazing and another mate of mine (James) arrived with his mates so had it large with them too. Made such wicked mates I'm gonna be sad to leave Koh Samui again!!

I know I've missed out loads of events coz so much has happened but will update when I can remember. Still havent had sleep since about 32 hours ago, its the girls last day today which is mortifying, gonna proper miss them.



Oh my god and can I just say the best news I have heard this christmas is that Luke and Aimee are engaged, over the moon big time but mortified I'm gonna miss out on the celebrations. CONGRATULATIONS guys!!!! yay I'm gonna have a sis!!



And also lads how quality was Lauras xmas pressie, the photo CD she made, wish we could have all sat down and watched it together.

Had a quality few days and the sun is shining properly for the first time since we been here!! wahooo!!

We said bye to our Essex lads and since then I've been really ill being sick so had to chill for a bit and now I have conjuctivitus, greeeeat!! but it aint stopping me from having a good time.

We had to cross the border to get our passports re-stamped so we can stay here for another month. Was a mission and ended up in Malaysia for bout 20mins then come back, seemed pointless to me, we stayed in Krabi for the night and went back to Phi Phi the next day coz we love it here. We are gonna do Krabi and Ko Lanta after xmas now.

So back in Phi Phi we booked our selves a camping trip to Maya Beach (where they filmed The Beach) and it was amazing!!! We left at 3 in the afternoon and only had bout 9 others in our group so was nice to get to know everyone.

On our boat ride over we stopped to go snorkelling; normally I would stay on the boat too scared to get in coz there were fish everywhere!! but I decided to give it a go so got on my snorkel and life jacket (haha) and swam with the fish and actually quite enjoyed it. I did freak out a bit as they were surrounding us but wouldn't let Amy leave my side and we ended up having fun.

We got to the island and it was beautiful. The sun was shining still and the sea was the bluest and clearest I have ever seen u could see right to the bottom and the sand was so soft and white, it really was paradise!!!

We all set up our tents on the beach and sat down for dinner which was blooooody spicy curry, phwoar!!! we then made ourselves comfortable on the mats and got drinking on the buckets with a BBQ going infront of us. We put on our music and chatted away having a laugh and playing drinking games. There just about 12 people on this island, no one else at all. The walk to the loo's were pretty scary tho as it was pitch black n u had to walk through a foresty bit and there was a huge crab in there which u had to watch out for!!ahhh!!! I sat up watching the stars, there were so many of them it was amazing and we went for a paddle when the moon was shining down on the sea. Our group were really cool; an irish couple, 3 Ozzy girls, 2 Irish women, and a French couple along with our German and Thai leaders. Some people went bed pretty early but I didnt want the night to end so decided to set my bed up on the beach and layed there all night taking in the scenery and stuff (god I sound like an old fart but seriously this place is unreal!!!)
Hardly slept all night but apparently amy said we had crabs crawling over us in the night, ewww. Got up early and went swimming in the sea, had brekkie and left around 10. Was such a good trip.

We got back, booked ourselves in somewhere and got straight down the beach because the sun was proper shining for once wahooo!!! Our last night in Phi Phi 2nite before we head back to Koh Samui to spend xmas and new year with Nic and Law, I cant wait!!xxx
